The Hunger Games trilogy books, by Suzanne Collins, have become some of the most beloved books of our generation. Whether you are intrigued by the relentless heroine, the “love triangle”, the exceptional writing, or the politics behind it all, the Hunger Games series has pulled in all kinds of readers. Since the moment I read the first line on the first page of the first book, I knew this was unlike any other book I had ever read. Please keep in mind that the last series of books I had read was the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. The Hunger Games kept me reading for a whole other set of reasons. I am an avid reader. I am always reading. There is always a book on my nightstand and in my purse. If I get to work a few minutes early, I will sit in my car and read. The fact that I was so moved by these three books from all the countless books I have read is kind of strange. However, after countless hours of reading, and re-reading, and many discussions with friends, I know why I relate so much to these books: the characters. They are all kind of perfect in their own way, good or bad. And so, it brings me to this here blog. I already have a blog, but I needed somewhere to let out all of my Hunger Games thoughts. I hope, that if you are reading this, you enjoyed these books as much as I have, and if you haven’t read them yet, well, I hope you go find a copy and start reading. They really will change your life.
